In our always-on world, you can easily fall prey to the hustle and bustle of “what’s next, what’s next” type of achievement. While you may feel awesome knocking down your to-do lists and objectives, sustained spirals of motivation, happiness and engagement come from recognizing AND savoring the progress forward.

The approach takes objectives that seem insurmountable and brings them into focus as something possible…seeming attainable…perhaps even achievable.
But, we have to celebrate along the way. Recognize the progress forward. The simple breakthroughs of the day. Don’t just celebrate at the finish line. You may not make it.
If you’re managing people or a team or a family, you have to celebrate your progress. “The Progress Principle” by Teresa Amiable shares the research and tactics behind using small wins to ignite joy, engagement, and creativity. I highly recommend it.
