Learn from my Mistakes
• I’ll never forget the day my brother left for Navy Boot Camp. He gave me the best advice I’ve ever received.
“Learn from my mistakes. I made them for you.” BRILLIANT!
I didn’t have to just learn from getting my teeth bashed in. I could become highly aware and learn from the mistakes of others. Genius.
Scan the landscape. Be highly aware. Awareness always precedes action. Scale your insights.
Failure teaches more than success.
Made me Think: How can we seek out stories of failure as eagerly as we do tales of success? Talk to mentors, peers, and even competitors. Ask them about their biggest mistakes and what they learned. Then, integrate.
What’s your most valuable lesson from someone else’s mistake? How has it shaped your path?
• There’s a ton of hype and awareness around AI. However, I do not see enough energy inside operating companies to integrate and innovate. It seems like it’s a green field – but only for new companies springing up.
Don’t get caught in a Blockbuster failure like Kodak waiting for the picture to develop.
There are companies I know that will disappear as a result of AI.
Made Me Think: How can I help my companies? #BangTheDrum 🥁 Here’s what I think you should ask:
1️⃣ What is your position on AI?
2️⃣ How are you currently leveraging AI in your business?
3️⃣ What are your plans for integrating AI more deeply into your operations?
4️⃣ What resources are you dedicating to understanding and utilizing AI effectively?
