When I was in college, I spoke until I made a point. In life, I’ve learned to speak only to make a point.
• September brought the gift of quiet reflection. I recommend it. Shut up and think.
Made me think: “I’m not terrified of failing. I’m terrified of dying without trying.”
• Q4 is upon us. How’s your year-end sprint coming? (You ARE sprinting, right?)
• If you’re not getting the results you want, change the rules of the game.
Made me think: when you revere the current constraints, you’re bound to earn the current results.
• I ate breakfast at a world-class restaurant. Blew my taste buds.
Made me think: The difference between good and world-class is a factor of at least 100x. What is ONE aspect of your business where you are (or can be) world-class? Double down.
• Had the opportunity to speak at an event that wasn’t mine. Thanks, DB.
Made me think: If the right audience is in the room, is there a more powerful platform to grow your business? Get on stage – or create your own!
• I love the convenience of UberEats. Then I looked at the fees.
Made me think: In an economic downturn, when is convenience too expensive?
Glad to be back. Drop me a line and let me know what you’re working on in Q4. 🙏
